Gaza Crisis Deepens as Israeli Offensive Escalates Amid Global Outcry

Israel has escalated its military operations in Gaza, launching a major offensive aimed at destroying Hamas and securing the release of hostages. Tensions between the US and Israel appear to be growing. Former President Donald Trump proposed turning Gaza into a “freedom zone” under US oversight, acknowledging starvation but stopping short of offering detailed aid plans during his recent Middle East tour.

Arab leaders gathered in Baghdad for a summit on the Gaza crisis, calling for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian aid access. They condemned forced displacement as a grave violation of international law and a crime against humanity.

UN agencies report that over 436,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced since March, with Gaza’s entire population facing a high risk of famine. The blockade denies essential food, medical supplies, and fuel, intensifying the humanitarian disaster.
